Japanese network: WOWOW has also taken up the offer to produce an anime based on the long running Devil May Cry series. The anime will be done by studio Madhouse and will go on air in 2007.
There is 12 episodes of the series.

Chronologically, the series appears to set after the first Devil May Cry game, with Trish confirmed as an ex-partner of Dante's. However, the business is still called 'Devil May Cry' as opposed to the name 'Devil Never Cry' given to it at the end of the first game.
