HSUS’s hunting campaign is dedicated to protecting animals and ending some of the most egregious forms of hunting. We work to end the practices of canned hunting and internet hunting, where often tame animals are shot within fenced enclosures. We are fighting the introduction of new hunting seasons, like the hunting of black bears in Maryland and New Jersey for nothing more than a trophy. We go after contest kills, where animals, often pigeons, coyotes, or prairie dogs are shot for fun and prizes, often to see who can shoot the most animals.
We need your help us to end these practices! We’ll be sending out updates, news articles, and information on stuff we’ve done. We’ll send out action alerts where you can write letters, make phone calls, attend demonstrations, and take part in other ways to make meaningful changes for these animals.
