Welcome to Venture Crew Racing online at myspace.com.
Venture crew 35 is located in Springfield, Massachusetts. It's current objective is to design, build, and race a car in the Baja 1000 desert off road race.
What is a Venture Crew? A Venture crew is an extention of Boy Scouts of America. However, a crew is very different from a troop. Venture crews are made up of both young men and women. Crew member age ranges from 14 to 20. Venture crews have the ability to design/choose their own uniforms. Venture crews can also choose their projects, including projects such as competing in the Baja 1000.
What is the Baja 1000? The Baja 1000 is a 1000 mile race along the Baja Mexico peninsula, located on the west coast of Mexico. It is the longest non-stop point-to-point race in the world, and can last up to 43 hours for some competitors. It is also one of the most difficult races to complete, with 200 of the 400 competitors in the 2006 Baja 1000 failing to finish. The race has attracted actors such as Patrick Dempsey (from Grey's Anatomy), movie directors like Dana Brown (of Step Into Liquid), and professional racers including Robby Gordon (of NASCAR), Sam Hornish (of the IRL), and racing legend Mario Andretti.
