A home for fans of Australian alternative rock (eg. Motorace, Powderfinger, Alex Lloyd, 78 Saab, Augie March, The Sunpilots, Something for Kate, Sarah Blasko, The Whitlams, Eskimo Joe, Epicure, The Dissociatives, Jet, Wolfmother etc. etc. - NO METAL).
There's a hell of a lot of good Aussie alternative rock out there, but no groups dedicated to it. So we decided to start one. Talk about your fav. new bands, songs, upcoming gigs, let the world know what you think and do whatever else it is you feel like doing.
It's a new group so join, then invite your friends and help it grow....
and... LONG LIVE THE OZ INDIE SCENE!!!
RULES (PLEASE READ)
1. NO POSTS ABOUT OVERSEAS BANDS. We love you guys, but this is a space for discussing Aussie music!
2. NO POSTS ABOUT OTHER GENRES. We love diversity - it makes the world a more interesting place to live in. But this is an alternative rock space (see the bands listed above for examples).
3. BE NICE. We're all here because we love alternative Australian music. Opinions are great and everybody has one, so respect them.
4. PROMOTION BY AND TO MUSICIANS MUST BE IN THE "POST HERE" THREADS ONLY. This makes sure the forums are maintained as a fan space, while still allowing musicians to communicate with members.
5. ANY POSTS NOT CONFORMING TO THESE RULES WILL BE DELETED, ALONG WITH THE MEMBERS!!
