The group for anyone who is fascinated by the ongoing search for extrasolar planets going around other stars in our galaxy.
These include: 55 Cancri, the first four planet system outside our own; Epsilon Eridani, the closest planetary system to us at 10.4 light years; and HD 209458 b, a planet with several elements identified in its atmosphere. Two planets have been unofficially named: Bellerophon and Methuselah.
Recently it has been discovered that binary and trinary star systems can contain planets in stable orbits, and quad star systems are also capable of sustaining a system.
