Destined to Create Peace Services Inc., is company dedicated to the empowerment of the young generation. Specializing in youth orientated workshops,programs,seminars. and motivational speaking. DCPS uses an youthful cultural enriched innovative approach to topics that youth face daily.
Mentoring:
Destined to Create Peace Services offers a mentorship program was designed to help the youth in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The mentorship program is open to youth from ages 8 to 21 years of age. You don’t have to be a student to enroll in the mentorship program it is open to all youth.
Each participant will be paired with a qualified mentor. The mentor will be responsible with helping the participant with educational help, any social problems that they may be going through, and most importantly to be an example of responsible citizen for the participant.
Tutoring/GED Preparation:
Destined to Create Peace Services offers a tutoring for any school age participant. DCP offers in tutoring services in all subjects and every tutor has a high school diploma and college graduate or still attending college.
Destined to Create Peace Service offers a GED Preparation course for those youth and adults who do not have a high school diploma but wants to further their education or career by obtaining a General Education Diploma. All participants are qualified to assist in GED preparation.
Counseling:
Destined to Create Peace Services offers six types of counseling. Each Destined Create Peace Services Facilitator will be trained in these different types of counseling:
1) Teen Pregnancy Option: helping pregnant mothers and all parts involved explore their options
2) Teen Mother: Helping young mothers with finding jobs, day care services, parenting classes, etc.
3) Group Session: two youth counselors and group of youth having and open discussion on topics that concern them
4) One on one session: youth can sign up to meet with a specific facilitator or Program administrator and have a sit down session with them about any topic confidentially.
5) Peer Mediation: Youth facilitator that gives out general information to peers around the community
6) Juvenile Offender Re-entry: help young juvenile offenders who have recently released from correction facility integrate back into society productively.
Liaison Services:
Destined to Create Peace Services offers a liaison services to parents or parental guardian that wants to keep an open line of communication between the parents and schools.
Special Programs:
Destined to Create Peace Services also will conduct special programs such as:
• Young Life Retreat: is a three day retreat for youth to come together in a safe environment and discuss issues that affect their lives daily.
• Real talk: showing at-risk youth the affect and power of their decisions have on their lives
• Workshops: we offer a variety of workshops on different topics dependent on the need
• Forums: we offer community forums for the youth to confront adults, leaders, government and voice their concerns. |
