This group is to help connect the people in or into the nascent music scene in the Farmville, VA area. A place where musicians can find each other, where event organizers can find local bands, and where fans can find out who's playing where and when.
ALL GENRES WELCOME HERE. All I ask is that you respect and be civil to each other. A decent music scene requires a wide variety, and a decent music scene is something that Farmville needs. Screw having to go to Richmond or somewhere for some decent music.
Bands are invited to start a forum thread here introducing yourselves, and to use the bulletin function to announce your upcoming shows. I would advise adding something like [metal] or [hiphop] to the subject line s to help people scanning the listings find what they're into.
Clubs, event organizers, people planning parties, promoters, and anyone looking for a musical act or wanting to promote a show should post bulletins with the details of your event. When, where, what kind of band(s) you're looking for (or what kind of bands you have).
Music stores and others associated with the music industry such as graphics design, sound, lighting, etc. should post their existance here, and use it to send bulletins announcing store events and specials.
