The purpose of this group is to gather together like-minded individuals such as atheists, agnostics, skeptics, humanists and other freethinkers. This is our chance to promote critical thinking as a viable alternative to mystical and theistic belief systems. Religious groups have positive and powerful organized groups. It is now our time to build up our positive secular community.
Local Organizations and meet-up opportunities:
The Las Vegas Freethought Society (LVFS) is an autonomous nonprofit, educational organization that serves as a forum for freethinkers - atheists, agnostics, humanists and other like-minded individuals in the Las Vegas area.
The atheist group at Meetup.com gathers informally on a monthly basis. During the meet-up, the group casually chats while getting a something to eat.
