I started this group as an easy way to keep people informed about the Surfrider foundation and the environment whether you are a member of surfrider or not. Everybody is welcome as long as you have an interest in surfrider or the environment.......or surfing :o). Join me and lets get this group bumping so we can spread the word about upcoming events and environmental issues.
The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education. Founded in 1984, Surfrider Foundation's most important coastal environmental work is carried out by Surfrider Foundation's 60 chapters located along the East, West, Gulf, Puerto Rican, and Hawaiian coasts. Surfrider Foundation now has over 50,000 members in the USA; in addition, International Surfrider Foundation chapters and affiliates have been established on five continents. I am a supporter and member of Surfrider and this is in not an "official" Surfrider group but simply a way to get more people involved.
