Supporting GLBTIQ equality is about human rights; equality of all people, regardless of sex, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
Separation of church and sate is supposed to provide freedom from religion.
Marriage is older than Christianity, so the religion cannot now claim it as their own and dictate laws regarding it to serve their own bigoted agenda using the cloaking catchphrase "sanctity of marriage". It is also quite hypocritical to do so when the majority of heterosexual marriages end in divorce. | |
People who are GLBTIQ do not sit and think about which gender to be attracted to anymore than straight people do. Non-straights do not think they're homosexual, they know they are because sexual attraction causes physical responses.  |

Sexuality is a spectrum. with heterosexuality and homosexuality being the extremes of the scale, most people are closer to one end or the other, bisexuality is when you are centered in the middle.

Homophobia is like racism and anti-semitism and other forms of bigotry in that it seeks to dehumanize a large group of people, to deny their humanity, their dignity and personhood. This sets the stage for further repression and violence that spread all too easily to victimize the next minority group.
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who matter won't mind, and those who mind don't matter.
Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comforatable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?
Why should we take advice on sex from the pope? If he knows anything about it, he shouldn't!
The bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals and 362 admonishments to heterosexuals. That doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals. It's just that they need more supervision.
No government has the right to tell it's citizens when or whom to love. The only queer people are those who don't love anybody.
