This group exists in hopes of meeting needs for further community, connection, information, learning and awareness among practitioners of Nonviolent Communication on MySpace.com.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is sometimes referred to as compassionate communication. It is a frame-work and set of practical skills whose purpose is that of strengthening abilities to inspire compassion from others and to respond compassionately to others and to ourselves. It focuses on clearly being aware of observations, feelings, needs and requests in ways that avoid diagnostic language or language that labels or defines others in fixed ways.
