There are no prejudices allowed here, we embrace all man, woman and child for their differences. Learn from one another, we all have a story to tell and each story brings us knowledge. Here in my Coven, we are young, old, rich, poor, enlightend, lost, searching and shearing. We are brown, white, asian, short, tall, fat, thin, gay and straight. We have hopes and dreams, desires, talents. Some have questions, others have answers. We are different these differences have all too often led to war, persecution and devastation. We have differences...But we are the same.

Prejudice
The American Heritage Dictionary defines prejudice as "an adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts." The history of public health provides numerous examples of how irrational suspicion or hatred of a particular group, race, or religion resulted in injury to members of that group. Many of these cases of injury are owing to the differential treatment or outright medical neglect of certain groups. Human beings are a homogeneous species, and genetic data indicate that there are few biological differences between ethnic and racial populations that explain differences in health status. Discriminatory behavior by public health professionals on the basis of race, religion, or other social category jeopardizes the health care system by providing inequitable and inadequate care. In response to this threat, federal civil rights legislation proposes the rescension of federal funding to hospitals that violate civil rights laws.

The Coven is a group for Wiccans and Pagans (And students) Grouping together thoughts, ideas, experiances or have information regarding Wicca, Paganism, Shamanism and Druidism. Stories dealing in history, information sharing, rituals, magickstories, poetry etc.
All over the earth the faces of living things are all alike. . .
Look upon these faces of children without number
And with children in their arms,
That they may face the winds and
Walk the good road to the day of quiet. . .
There is no death. . .
Only a change of worlds. . .
Not to be cheered by praise, not to be grieved by blame, but to know thoroughly
one's own virtues or powers are the characteristics of an excellent human.

Rules Of Conduct.
1.) No Spam, "Add Me" posts, hate propeganda, inappropriate/offensive pictures, or christian spam (esp. in requards to how we're all going to Hell or the "Good News")
2.) Please try to respect your fellow group members and practice tolerance. Not everyone shares the same ideas and beleifs, not everyone took typing class or graduated to grammar school, not everyone has the same mores and ideals... We're not asking for all sweetness and light, but some sensability and general human respect is expected. Name-calling and other forum "violance" will not be supported. If you had a bad day, punch a pillow, don't take it out on your fellow group members. Sexist, racist or anti-(religion) language and behavior will not be accepted.
3.)Topic hijacking is discouraged, please start a new topic to discuss a divergant idea if it warrents it. Please don't drag the same arguments and grudges from topic to topic. Deal with them as they arise or, preferably, in private. Keep the topic of this group in mind, let's keep randomness to a minimum and stay focused.
4.) Trolls will be banned once identified. If you intentionally antagonize the group, interfere with the basic functions of the group, ignore warnings or consistantly abuse the rules and the members here, you will be identified as a troll.
5.) Please use internet etiquite and strive to use proper punctuation, spelling, grammer etc. If something is worth posting, it's worth posting clearly so it can be read by other group-members and the best responses can be acheived. Please don't shout (all caps) and please look through to avoid re-posting a topic that is allready being discussed in order to cut down on repetative topics. Duplicate topics will be deleted on sight.
Note to Members - This group is one of the largest Pagan groups on MySpace, therefore, it's to be expected that a wide variety of folks would find themselves here before discovering divergant paths. We ask the experianced members, in both paganism AND MySpace interaction, to provide as much guidance as they are able and to avoid lashing out at inexperiance... some people just don't know any better, why insult when you can teach?
