On September 20, 2007 a group of peaceful protesters marched on Jena for justice. The next day two white supremacists were arrested for inciting violence by driving past protesters with two nooses hung from their pickup truck.
On September 23, 2007 Abcnews, CNN and other news organizations reported that the "FBI is Reviewing Anti-Jena 6 Web Page", which purportedly listed the names and phone numbers of the Jena Six ""in case anyone wants to deliver justice", and openly called for their lynching. In addition, it is reported that the Jena Six and their family have received threats around the clock.
On the same day of the protest, instead of denouncing the injustice in Jena, Louisiana, President George W. Bush denounced MoveOn.org for an Ad they ran in the New York Times against a war that is unpopular to many Americans.
This country is at a very critical junction where it has to stand up for liberty, freedom and justice in their true respective sense. The same freedom that it pruports to be delivering to the Middle East, or admit that it wants to conserve a culture and society that Martin Luther King Jr. and other Civil Rights Leaders died to change, and that it hopes to deliver the same racist, facist system to the Middle East.
