Tinker Bell is your host, waving her wand to ignite the sky in brilliant color and special effects in the new fireworks show, Magical. But Tink won’t be alone in the sky this summer - Dumbo will make his surprise airborne debut, too!
Disney's Electrical Parade sparkles with pixie dust
Disney’s Electrical Parade will have a new glow as Tinker Bell leads the way aboard a new opening parade float! Floats will feature electrifying audio and lighting, with sparkling pixie dust added to all floats. Snow White and Pinocchio return to the parade on bright new floats.
Dance the night away at TLT Dance Club
Dazzling décor at the TLT Dance Club in Tomorrowland will include an illuminated DJ console where the DJ will spin the hottest tunes for tweens, teens, and families!
Pixie Hollow lights up the night
Nighttime visitors will find magical surprises as Pixie Hollow comes to life in iridescent light shows. Pixie dust cascades across the landscape and radiates down into the pond. The water becomes enchanted as playful fountains spring to life, and sparkling strobes shine throughout.

|  | The Disneyland Story featuring "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln"
A longtime favorite of Disneyland guests will return as “The Disneyland Story featuring Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln,” opens later this year to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Lincoln's birth. “Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years” will be presented as part of the “Disneyland Story” display of art, models and mementoes in the Opera House lobby.

Formerly located above Pirates of the Caribbean in New Orleans Square, The Disney Gallery houses treasured Disney artwork and collectibles representing creative efforts from throughout The Walt Disney Company. A frequently changing exhibit area often includes never-before-displayed art. The Disney Gallery’s new home will be in the Bank of Main Street building, located next door to the Main Street Opera House

Beginning August 2009 the historic Disneyland Hotel will undergo a major renovation featuring an all-new contemporary look with exquisite Disney touches woven into the décor. A stunning new headboard featuring an artistically carved Sleeping Beauty Castle uses fiber optics to create a magical skyline with fireworks. Black and white art will take guests back in time. New flat screen TVs, mini-refrigerators, coffeemakers, safes capable of holding laptop computers, and new state-of-the-art telephone, cable and wireless Internet connections. Upgrades to plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems also are included in the project.

In an effort to raise lagging attendance numbers and to create even more entertainment and magic for Disneyland Resort guests, Disney’s California Adventure park will undergo a 5-year expansion and remodel bringing newly re-themed areas, new attractions, and nighttime entertainment.

BUENA VISTA STREET
The totally new gateway to Disney’s California Adventure welcomes guests into an immersive world of historic California streets as Walt experienced them as a young artist arriving with big dreams.
• Carthay Circle Theatre
A new visual icon in the tradition of Los Angeles’ great entertainment palaces inspired by Los Angeles’ historic Carthay Circle Theatre (Location of the "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "Fantasia" world premieres) will welcome guests into the new "hub" of Disney's California Adventure, and be a breaking point to the various adventures that await guests throughout the park.
• Red Car Trolleys
Red Car Trolleys reminiscent of the old Pacific Electric Railway will travel up and down the main street.
CARS LAND
The expansion will culminate with an entirely new, 12-acre addition: Cars Land, immersing guests into a world inspired by the hit Disney/Pixar movie, Cars, playing to America’s love affair with automobiles.
• Radiator Springs Racers
Radiator Springs Racers, a major “E-ticket” attraction, places guests right in the middle of the amazingly detailed, dimensional Cars world of Mater, Lightning McQueen, Doc and Sally. Guests get a quick race briefing from Doc and Lightning, and suddenly find themselves in the midst of a race around hairpin turns and steep banks.
• Cars Land Drive-In Restaurant
Guests dine in automobiles, served by roller-skating wait-staff while enjoying automobile-themed short films during their meal.
PARADISE PIER
• Toy Story Midway Mania! (NOW OPEN!)
While riding along a colorful, midway-themed route, guests wearing 3D glasses will shoot at animated targets using their own “toy cannons,” scoring points in a series of energetic, fun midway gaming sequences featuring the gang from Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story.
• The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure and Mermaid Grotto (Opens 2011)
The Little Mermaid comes to the park’s Paradise Pier with leading-edge animation and special effects. Guests will dive into the magnificent scenes and magical songs from the movie. A Mermaid Grotto area with a fountain and sand castle will offer new play experiences for children.
• Disney’s World of Color (Debuts 2010)
This nightly panorama of spectacular water effects, colorful lighting and music will bring Disney animation to life with an entirely new creative and technical approach.
HOLLYWOOD PICTURES BACKLOT
Hollywood Pictures Backlot will be a new home for a slate of special ticketed events and chances to hear first hand from innovative directors, writers and animators.
GOLDEN STATE
The “Golden State” area of the park will see the addition of numerous new dining opportunities tied to the incredible bounty of California’s farmland and its rich ethnically diverse food heritage.
• Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar (NOW OPEN!)
A Preview Center located in the Golden Vine Winery will feature models and Imagineering concepts – giving park guests a sneak peek at the excitement that lies ahead.
