Who we are:
v exists to inspire a new generation of volunteers aged 16-25 year olds.
v promotes and advocates volunteering for young people.
v ensures that every young person has the opportunity to volunteer
v recognises young people who volunteer and helps them to work towards the v awards.
Our aims:
Creating and sustaining a diverse range of volunteering opportunities within Staffordshire.
Placing young people into opportunities that they have an interest, care or passion for.
Accrediting young people with nationally recognised v awards and alternative accreditation such as Duke of Edinburgh and Youth Achievement Awards.
The Rewards:
The v awards give the opportunity for the young person to be recognised for the volunteering they are taking part in as well as highlighting some of the skills they have learnt during their volunteering experience.
The v thank you award is an opportunity to recognise young people who volunteer and celebrate the successes they have had through volunteering.
v in conjunction with Staffordshire Youth Service are offering a 15 hour award. This is completed by the young person after they have logged 15 hours in a voluntary opportunity.
The v50 award allows the young person to log the hours they have done in a volunteering placement. They also have the opportunity to reflect on the project and identify the impact they have had on their community.
Once the young person has completed their v50 award there is an opportunity to progress on to the v Impact awards. The young person at this stage can choose which impact award they would like to apply for. The five different areas are passions, skills, community, campaigning and leadership.
