Welcome to official MySpace Group of the Evans High School Teen Age Republicans (TARS).
As a member of TARS, you are part of an ELITE group of students. You are ELITE because you have, in the spirit of our motto, chosen to be uncommon. You are ELITE because, in the spirit of our mission statement, you believe in the values of family, freedom, opportunity, and responsibility. Finally, you are ELITE because, in the spirit of the Republican Creed, you will not trade freedom for beneficence, nor your dignity for a handout.
The Republican Party has a long and proud history starting with its founding by anti-slavery activists in the 1850’s, the election of Abraham Lincoln in 1860, and passage of the 13th Amendment (ended slavery), 14th Amendment (guaranteed equal protection under the law), and the 15th Amendment (gave African American men the right to vote). By being in TARS, you are part of this tradition.
In TARS, you’ll meet other teens who share your conservative values. By working with the Republican Party, you’ll get hands-on experience with the political process and campaigning. Most of all, you’ll be part of the team that furthers the goals of our party by helping elect Republican candidates.
