7 years ago I attempted to create an advocacy organization that would help banish the stereotypes against mental illness.

To my dismay, it failed. Countless phone calls, press kits etc. were sent to organizations through out the country and I had only received one response.

Being a person who suffers from the illness myself its easy to dismiss such a project, after all, they all think Im crazy. These are the people that are supposed to be helping people like me instead they look down upon me like Im some sort of leper. rosehand

After my failed attempt I decided to do something different, create a new website exclusive to the consumer (that would be those of us who suffer from mental illness).

PROJECT STIGMA PHASE 2.1 is a true freedom of expression, it speaks the truth and it comes out of you and I.

This site is dedicated to you! Express yourself, let people know how you feel inside, let them know what its like to feel depressed, have your mind racing uncontrollably, have panic attacks, have people tell you that there is nothing wrong with you, let them know how the health care system screwed you over, watch your friends turn away because of the pain you carry within you. Its time we speak out, open your mouths and hit the keyboard, its your turn now.
