A group for people who realize that American Liberty is affected by public policy on Marijuana. Without promoting the use of marijuana I can affirm that even educated Christians know that more people are hurt by marijuana laws and their enforcement than by the use of marijuana itself. In fact many have strongly argued that Bible scriptures indicate that weed has been historically used for good and of course Hemp has many uses.

I know judges, law enforcement officers and members of Boards of Directors of the National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence who affirm their belief that many of America's drug laws have been and are wrong. They support decriminalization of weed. Even Bill O'Reilly on conservative Fox News thinks we should decriminalize marijuana... I don't think he claims to use it just as the authorities I know tell me they don't smoke weed. If they don't and support decriminalization isn't that the strongest testimony that Decrim is the way to go?

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) advocates not just decriminalization but also legalization of drugs. Why do you suppose police officers would want to change current drug laws? Can we really despute that police that only want to enforce good laws and eliminate what they consider to be bad laws are unpatriotic for believing our drug laws are misguided (at best) and not working?

Alcohol is legal and its a dangerous drug ... which Presidents, Politicians, Judges, Lawyers, Attorney's, Doctors and a majority of Americans continue to use. Marijuana is much safer than alcohol .... I don't think minors should be smoking weed at all due to brain development impairment but adults are a different story on this front. I don't smoke it for my own reasons. But there is a point where the public needs to get smarter and do the sensible thing.

Decrim does not put a stamp of approval nor encourage people to use weed... in fact it preserves the right to wage campaigns against marijuana use if they so choose. But there are just too many societal benefits and realities that warrant Decrim. When Christian and humanitarian values dictate decrim as they do and when espoused Christian Bill O'Reilly states on Fox openly that weed should be decriminalized and that its a "no brainer" Americans need to ask themselves whether they have proper insight into the issues regarding decriminalization and whether they properly understand and interpret their own value systems properly ... particularly Christians.

Perhaps you'd like to "OPINE" on the subject. You can even argue against decriminalization. You are certainly welcome in our club.
