Nashville Film Society Mission Our mission is to promote a variety of non-theatrical films (releases not accessible to major theaters) to the Nashville community. The represented films should fall into at least one of the following criteria: o First-run Foreign Films previously unscreened in Nashville (presented in their original languages whenever possible) o Classic or Revival Films o Independent Films While representing these types of films, a balance of different countries of origins and styles should be maintained. These films may also include small format and video filmmaking, as well as new media formats. Represented films should be presented in their original aspect ratio (whenever possible). Our goal is to encourage local filmmaking, and to further develop film community in Nashville. We will also provide a film resource through web-based information.
