Doro Pesch was born June 3, 1964. She fronted a band called Snakebite until 1983, and left to join a band called Warlock. Then in 1984, Warlock released thier first album "Burning the Witches" in Europe. In 1985, the band released "Hellbound" and later shot a live concert video which was released globally. The next move? Warlock's first cd to be originally released in America! "True as Steel" was released in 1986, and a video was made for "Fight for rock" which recieved decent rotation on Headbanger's ball. Doro decided to take on America head on with full force, and released "Triumph and Agony" in 1987. The band shot a video for "All we are" which was played often on Headbanger's ball and became Warlock's first underground hit, and launched "Triumph and Agony" all the way to ..80 on the Billboard charts. Warlock spent 1987 touring with Dio in Europe, and then came to the U.S. in 1988 in support of Megadeth. They later shot the video for the German ballad "Fur Immer", and with the success of "Triumph and Agony" the band decided to release the first 2 Warlock albums here in the states.

Later, the band had legal problems with the name "Warlock" and were forced to drop the monicker. Doro Pesch decided to just call the band "Doro". So, in 1989, Doro released "Force Majeure" and the cut "Hard times" recieved air play while the video and another video for "Whiter shade of pale" appeared on Headbanger's ball.

In 1990, Doro hooked up with producer and KISS blood spitter Gene Simmons to work on her self titled solo album featuring songs co-written by Simmons & Tommy Thayer, including a remake of "Only you" from "The Elder". The videos for "Unholy love" and "Rare Diamond" was shot for this album.

Doro spent the next several years touring out of the country and not releasing many records in the U.S. because of the lack of rock and roll support in the 90's that we all know too well! Albums such as 1991's "True at heart"(recorded in Nashville), 1993's "Angels never die", 1995's "Machine II Machine" and 1998's "Love me in black" are only available as imports.

In 2000, Doro decided to return to America with her cd, "Calling the wild" featuring her cover of Billy Idol's "White wedding". She promoted the cd by touring with Dio and Yngwie Malmsteen in 2000 and 2001. She relesed the cd "Fight" in 2002. Doro has also just released a live dvd titled "Fur Immer". A new cd, "Classic Diamonds" will be available September, 2004.
