Girl Gamers Unite against the common notion that girls don't play games!
Battlepony.tk was origonally founded by Erynn Phillips in January 2003. In December 2004, the site was renamed DisenGamers.com . We hope to bring a new light onto the growing community of female gamers. Girls today lack in recognition among the game industry and we would like to spread our word on the internet to let the world know that we are here. We are are equal as any other gamer is in the world today. Battlepony has recently become involved with the Valkyries of arcadiA. Luna, the webmistress and owner of BP is their Unit leader. This is a great oppurtunity for Girl Gamers. Please check the site updates on events with the Valkyries.
Disen is the name for a group of goddesses of fate and fertility in old-Scandinavian mythology. The female members of the Aesir and the Vanir, as well as the Valkyries, are often called Disen. The goddess Freya is referred to as the 'Dis of the Vanir'.
Valkyries of arcadiA
The Valkyries are a unit of female gamers that is part of the Empire arcadiA. Empire Arcadia Inc. is the future leader of the videogame culture. We work with today's youth in shaping them into tomorrow's leaders, by providing videogame competition and social play for them to experience.
Gamers of Empire Arcadia Inc. emulates the true social and cultural behavior of what gamers of today and yesterday are really about. We believe in creating opportunities for success and entertainment with our customers, other organizations, and gamers where we live and work.
Empire Arcadia Inc. creates events that will draw hundreds to thousands of spectators to expose this love of videogames to the mainstream. Most importantly the procedures that we use enables us to make a difference in the videogame industry as a whole from the home, to the arcades, right to the very developers and producers of the videogames that we love and play.
