You can make plenty of friends here by talking about the Red Sox in the discussion board. If you try that attention-whore "add me" crap, you and your posts will mysteriously disappear.
- re: Arguments - Try and be civil. If you have a disagreement with someone, be mature and intelligent. Show some class. Anything that can or should be discussed in private between you and the person you're fighting with should be done through private message, unless it's Red Sox or at least baseball related. If a thread gets ruined because people are arguing about something that has nothing to do with the task at hand (Red Sox / baseball), or if the argument began concerning the topic at hand but then turned to a mama joke flame war, either the posts or the entire thread will disappear. Again that is if the argument is far off topic and of no use to anyone but the few people involved. Go meet up outside some airport parking lot and fight each other.
- Disruptive members will be banned, but I can't ban anyone if I'm not here. If I'm on MySpace I'm here in RSN. If I'm checking up on RSN it means I'm going to ban anyone who's being disruptive (ie. 50 pages of "red sux"), so there's no use in sending me alert messages concerning those matters because if I'm here to read the messages it means I'm here to see the posts. However I DO appreciate the assistance. Let me know if someone's causing trouble under the radar... sufficient complaints could lead to a ban if your case is legit.
- Old/Repeat topics will be deleted, things already talked about way too much (ex. Johnny Damon). Before you start a thread (especially if it's an obvious popular topic), please check the first page to see if it already exists, because most of the time it probably does.
- Stupid topics will be deleted. Stupid constitutes anything the RSN community is already WELL AWARE OF or doesn't benefit at all from reading.. (ex. "Yankees suck", any thread started by a 14 year old suggesting we trade Varitek because he went 0-4 one night.)
- If you misspell any of our players' names, I will delete your thread! AND you should be ashamed of yourself.
- Selling something? Advertising something? Do it somewhere else! No poker, No porn, No hats. This is a RED SOX DISCUSSION GROUP, not a fucking billboard.
- Have an opinion that doesn't have to do with the Red Sox or Major League Baseball or the game of baseball? No one cares!
- Think before you speak! I reserve the right to ban anyone at any time as long as I believe I have a good reason... and I will have a good reason. I won't ban you for disagreeing with me or for any other immature / bullshit reason. If it happens it's because you had it coming. Banning is permanent.
