Formally: "The League of PISSED OFF Voters is doing national voter-organizing out of New York City. Our mission is to engage pissed off 17-35 year olds in the democratic process to build a progressive governing majority in our lifetime."

Informally: We're the dopest group of anti-BS, pro-governing progressive majority in our lifetimes, anti-stupid fuckers in office, pro-pleasure activists you ever heard of. If you're here it means that you're probably sick of the shit that politicians have continually thrown at you since you've been born. Shit not just from the Republicans but some Democrats as well. Well, luckily you're in good company. We here at the League feel just the same, but instead of just bitching about it, we're out there working our fine, luscious, asses off working to build a progressive governing majority within our lifetimes.

For all you who don't understand the line of political bullshit I just shot off, that means putting people in office who will fight for decent health care for all, fight to stop the prison and military industrial complexes that run our country, fight for decent education for every single child, regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation, etc. People who will protect instead of erode our civil liberties and ensure that we all have the freedoms that this country was supposedly based on. Etc.

The way this is goin' down is through the creation of local and national progressive voter blocs. In other words, a group of dope, sexy, brilliant, people who vote on a regular basis for people who fight for the values listed above. Not just once, but all the time. To help these blocs along what we're doing is putting on parties, concerts, poetry slams, knocking on doors, calling people, Taggin', talkin, making mixtapes, and then most of all, VOTING and creating VOTER GUIDES and ENDORSING CANDIDATES WHO REALLY REPRESENT US. If the right wing can do it we sure as hell can. The way these endorsement slates work is that we find out all the people on the ballot, from dog catcher, state councilpeople, congresspeople, senators, mayors, and the prez, and then finding out where they stand on all the issues, from abortion, prison and tax reform, to the war in Iraq, and education. Then we grid it all out and see what "electable" candidates will be the best. Then we get people to pledge to vote our slate so that on the day after election day we can turn to a congress woman and say, "Hey look, in your district you only won by 5,000 votes. We had 10,000 people pledge to vote our slate. So if you wanna keep your job, you need our votes and we need you to stop cutting our educational funds and stop promoting unjust wars."
