4LYN are currently one the most exciting European rock bands, their debut-album having sold 50,000 copies. A German four-piece rock band, 4LYN is made up of vocalist "Braz", René "Russo" on guitars, Björn "Deee" on bass and drummer Sascha "Chino". They changed their name from Headtrip to 4LYN in reference to one of their first singles, Lyn, after it became apparent that their original name was already in use by several bands across the globe.

4LYN have been touring the continent for several years and are releasing their third studio album Take It As A Compliment throughout Europe this year.

In late 2000, the foursome performed live in front of a burgeoning fanbase when they toured Germany supporting US headliners Papa Roach. The singles Whooo, Bahama Mama and Lyn were widely acknowledged as essential tracks for all rock fans in 2001. The band ended that year with a headline club tour and the Jack Daniels Rock Nights, along with Thumb and Therapy?.

Before recording Neon, the follow-up to their self-titled debut album, 4LYN took part in "Laut gegen rechte Gewalt", an anti-racism initiative that took place in Germany in 2002. 4LYN co-headlined with Such A Surge, and, along with other bands, toured cities all around the country, donating all the proceeds of the concerts to organisations fighting racism.

After the end of the Desperados Tour with Dredg and Cosmotron, catchy single Pearls & Beauty was released and paved the way for the release of Neon (chart entry .27 Germany, .33 Austria) and next single Husky. The second albumÕs single Me vs Me was featured on the international soundtrack of the blockbuster "XXX" starring Vin Diesel.

The single Whooo Soccer Slam, a reinterpretation of 4LYN's first single Whooo, followed in December as result of a successful cooperative venture with Sega/Infogrames (Atari) for the console game Sega Soccer Slam.

The band also have a history of touring Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and eastern Europe as well as many open-air gigs and summer festivals like Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, With Full Force Festival, Hurricane Festival in Germany, Roskilde Festival in Denmark, Alive Festival in Belgium, Masters of Rock and Rock For People in Czech Republic... to name a few.

Their third album, Take It As A Compliment will be released throughout Europe in 2004, preceded by the single Kisses Of A Strobelight on May 3 rd. The release of the album will be supported by a European tour later in the year.
