Damned Poets' Society Invocation In the verse of poetry's music The heart of the poet beats Rhyme and meter follow And in the heart they meet. Lips and chest expel The air that forms the sounds Music flows from deep And spirit lifts from ground. Eyes of spirits grasp and hold The incomplete, those not whole Lines and verse are but the frame And the beat that imprisons souls. Look away, use not your sight The angst, the source, the inspired flights Fancy, fantasy, and all that's free Exist in absence of the light. Bare the darkest corners of the soul And spirits' whispers that truly know The pain that souls must bear from day to day And leave them here, have your say.
The Damned Poets' Society is a group where people who write poetry and people who appreciate poetry can come together and participate with only 1 degree of separation.

I shall consider upgrading the look and feel of the site, but for now I will focus on functionality and readability.
