EMPOWERING CHILDREN OF WAR TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE.

Treaties are negotiated by governments. Peace is made by people. Seeds of Peace is doing what no government can. It is sowing the seeds of peace among children who have grown up with the horror of war. By teaching teenagers to develop trust and empathy for one another, Seeds of Peace is changing the landscape of conflict. It is enabling people blinded by hatred to see the human face of their enemies. It is equipping the next generation with the tools to end the violence and become the leaders of tomorrow.

Since 1993, Seeds of Peace has graduated over 2,500 teenagers from four conflict regions from its internationally recognized leadership program. Through its International Camp in Maine, its Center for Coexistence in Jerusalem, international youth conferences, regional workshops, educational and professional opportunities, and adult educator programs, participants develop empathy, respect, and confidence as well as leadership, communication and negotiation skills - all critical components that will ensure peaceful coexistence for the next generation.



SEEDS of PEACE is an international peace organization which emphasizes peace in the Middle East. They bring together primarily Palestinian and Israeli youth, but youth from all over the world as well, to meet in a non-hostile environment to discuss the idea of peace and how peace can be achieved. This MySpace group account was designed primarily as an outlet for ANY person(s) who are interested in the idea of peace and ANY person(s) looking for ways to help promote international peace.
