JOIN OR DIE

Punk Rock Social is a once a month event for those of us interested in punk rock, alcohol, and hanging out with others that enjoy the same. Brigette and I came up with the idea of PRS almost 5 years ago after attending Punk Rock Bowling in Vegas. We wanted something in LA that brought together the feel and sense of community that the bowling tourney did. We had yet to find something like that in LA and figured out we needed to do it ourselves. We finally got going with PRS in Oct of 2004. We started out small at a bar - the Coach and Horses. We grew a little and started having bands play but still wanted to keep it social. The main reason we started to begin with, so people had a place to go and see their friends and meet new people. We kept growing and our year anniversary came with The Street Dogs performing. We have 2 bands play and keep the cost down by having these bands play for free. The shows are always only $5. All net proceeds go to charity- mostly music charities unless a band has a specific charity in mind. We are the original punk rock social. We came up with this name about 4 years ago. Don't be fooled by others. We are here to support the community and scene. We love music and our friends and want to see our dream continue to grow. Thank you for all of your support.
