Joe Strummer is sorely missed. Fuck those ramones. Joe Strummer was talented. The Clash was the first band to do everything. Hip Hop, reggae, punk, ska, and you name it they proably fall under it.
Joe Strummer the lead singer and rythmic guitarist died at age 50 from a heart attack on Dec.22 2002. The Clash maybe overrated but No one Cares About Poor Joe...People would rather cry their eyes out over a ramone or sid vicious..that makes me sick.
After the clash he did some songs for the Sid and Nancy Sound Track. His solo carrer is one of the best solo carrers ever. I love the clash music and his work with the mescaleros...I miss him. I get teary eyed when i think of him. He was really something. A very talented man that I wish I had a time machine to go back and meet him. Joe had talent unlike a lot of those dumb fuckers out there. I would say that he changed the world in my eyes. He was a hero of rock'n'roll. From biographies about him to his cds, he seriously was the BEST and after he is gone he still is the best.
