This is for everyone sick and tired of the constant bombardment of the "tough-guy" mentality at hardcore and punk shows. We made the stand before, we made a difference, so it's time to step up again! The scene is about unity, not a pissing contest!
Another serious issue we are dealing with is the fact that the underground music scene has become infested with people that don't have any real love for it, but are here only because it is the popular thing to do. This scene was for those that were the outsiders, now it's a competition by the "cool crowd" to see who's the most hardcore/punk/metal/etc... For many of us, this was our refuge, our home away from home, our chance to get away from the cliques and oppresive attitudes of the "normal" world. Now, that world thinks it belongs here: it doesn't! So here we make our stand!

One recent change that I have had to make to the group was to make it private. The only reason for this is that there has been a ton of spam profiles jumping in here and have been posting ads that I've had to delete over and over and now there are alot of deleted profiles taking up space. So please do not think of this as a snobby group or anything, but until myspace gets its act together, we can't keep this open to every spammer to invade.
