The Tomb Raider video games have together sold over 35 million units, making it one of the highest selling video game series of all time. The highest selling Lara Croft game was Tomb Raider II which sold over 8 million units.

In 2006, Lara was honored with a star on the Walk of Game in San Francisco, California and was awarded a Guinness World Record recognizing her as the "most successful human video game heroine."

The Walk of Game is as similar as the Hollywood walk of fame but it does not get as much publicity. It is considered to be more of an attraction to the Metreon building.

The walk of Game is big in the Video Game industry. Only successful game have been awarded with a star, such as Super Mario, Link, Sonic the Hedgehog, Final Fantasy and more.
