Ah yes, I have tasted the heady wine of Camp Orkila, potent stuff this magic elixir. In my time, I have come to know the intimacy of a rag talk, the warmth of a darkened cabin during high points, the laughter of a fleeing herbivore, the music of Satellite Island, the togetherness of living out of an open air cabin, the sternness of the first day, the tears of the last; these simple pleasures have renewed my self-regard, soothed my sorrows, repaired my self-esteem, lightened my heart and enriched my soul. And now that I have taken my fill and more, surrender I must this precious goblet to another. I realize now in the end that it wasn't the children who I have touched, as the children who have touched me.
