For Starters Welcome to Grains Myspace group page! If you are here, chances are you already know exactly what were all about. Maybe youve known us for years, and thrown down every time weve come to town, or maybe youre new to us. Makes no difference Theres always room for one more. To all you veterans, old skool, old-timers, die-hards YEAH YOU!!! You all know exactly what the fuck is up so go be an Inspiration to the new headz. Now for all of you fresh faces. There has never been a better time to be supportive! The first paragraph of our Myspace bio pretty much sums up what 2006 will be all about. Our recommendation to you Better lace em up and strap em tight ALL HELL IS ABOUT TO BREAK LOOSE! To summarize. Grain and our west coast brothers, I.R.A.T.E., will be releasing new albums in 2006. Though there have been numerous label offers, both bands have refused, opting to go at it alone. This summer, with the support of Myspace, Jagermeister Music and Tower Records, we will be launching the largest independent music campaign ever. STICKING IT TO THE MIDDLEMAN PROJECT INDEPENDENT The first leg of this promotion will take place in the following states Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Our goal is to find 1000 Myspace friends in the best cities that these states have to offer. The first 30 cities that are represented by 1000 Myspace friends, will host a live event. Why this promotion is so important? For years weve toured around the country listening to people bitch about their local music scenes. In addition, weve met a ton of kick-ass bands that need to be touring, yet just dont have the know-how to make it happen. Lack of finances appears to be the biggest deterrent, and with gas prices soaring and club owners not paying well, you get the picture. Everybodys getting paid except for the bands. Bottom line touring is not easy, and its definitely not cheap. Bands can no longer afford to tour in order to build their fan bases 25 people at a time. Each and every band in existence has the opportunity to accomplish exactly what were doing but it takes time and dedication. Myspace friends dont come easy. Each band needs to identify its own market and go out and appeal to them. In regard to selling albums.. Well one things for sure THEYRE TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE. After recording and duplication costs, a CD costs about $4.00 to make so can someone explain to us WHY THE FUCK ARE WE PAYING $16.00 FOR A CD? Better yet whos pocketing the other $12.00? We will sell our album to Tower Records for $8.50. They will sell it in stores for $12.99 During this promotion, Myspace listeners will be able to purchase the CD for $8.50. just like the middleman and well ship it to you for FREE. When alls said and done Agents and record labels lose, but BANDS and FANS WIN! Hope all of this has made sense to you because you are truly capable of helping change the way that this industry is run, and its as easy as spreading the word!!! Oh and one more thing. We have a ton of web-teamers out there helping us out, so if youre new to us, our band and our site, please let us know who referred you. They get rewarded graciously. ==================================== ==============Imagine 2 California brothers, raised on everything from Aretha Franklin to Snot, joining forces with 2 old school metal heads in Arlington, Texas, and bringing excitement and danger back into rock. Weaving tales of religion, politics, and personal experience into the dark side of the imagination through layers of sonic dissonance, this band will blow away any preconceived notions of what heavy music should be. To listen to them is a catharsis. To witness them live is to separate yourself from all that is, and to become one with the truth. Start the movement. Extremely energetic and explosive, GRAIN Live is something to experience. Comprised of David Jarvis (vocals), Nick Stolz (guitar), Rick Nagler (drums) and Henry Jarvis (bass). Davids highly controversial lyrics, heavy metal singing style and unique ability to incite the crowd coupled with the heavy metal groove of Rick, Nick and Henry provide audiences with an adrenaline powered, emotional experience. Their amazing stage show, all out vocals and chest pounding groove deliver a site and sound that is literally a knock out punch for the faint of heart. DON'T MISS THEM!!! Grain is coming to town. The fuse is lit. Get ready to flex your brain.
