"True compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar; it comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring"-Martin Luther King Jr

"If we all did the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves."-Thomas Edison

This group is for humanitarians to discuss tactics, strategies and how-to principles on how to get big changes in society for the better. This site is for "Social Entrepreneurs" and the like.

I recommend to everyone the book: "How to Change the World; Social Entrepreneurs and the Power of New Ideas" by David Bornstein.

This group is not for those who hate humanity and want to babble on about how we shouldn't help people or other various pessimistic/ misanthropy-type remarks.

This group is mainly for practical discussions, not philosphy and abstract things, but those are OK, too.

Entrepreneur: (from the French, meaning "one who takes into hand") not one who simple opens a business , but someone who "shifts economic recources out of an area of lower and into an area of higher economic yield."

Social Entrepreneur: people with new ideas to address major problems who are relentless in the pursuit of their visions, people who will not take "no" for an answer, who will not give up until they have spread their ideas as far as they possibly can.
