Group Leader:

We play a wide variety of board and card games from Clue, to Robo Rally, to Uno, Yahtzee, Taboo and many others. Our sessions have included some of the more serious strategy games all the way to simpler party games. We get together at least twice a month, usually in Hillcrest or North Park, but potentially all over San Diego! Come and join the fun! You'll usually find us at The Other Side Coffee House -- just look for a bunch of crazy folks with game boxes scattered all around. Members of the group collectively own hundreds of games, so we may have your favorites. Please mention what games you'd like to play or bring.

This is a link to our next Event here on MySpace.

We don't have any fees or other charges to participate. It would be great if you could purchase some type of refreshment at our meetings to support our host location. (Although, The Other Side and some places we've been to usually don't pressure us to buy.)

Please sign up so that we can see your RSVP for events. The main website we currently use to announce game times is Meetup.com. Here is a link directly to our group there:

San Diego Boardgamers (Meetup.com)
We are dropping Meetup.com, at least for the time being. You can follow our activities best at these sites:
MixerMixer.com
MyPeopleConnection.com
SmartGroups.com

We also use MixerMixer.com and other sites to organize and announce the group events. Our messages at these sites will generally direct users to the Meetup site. I want to encourage everyone to sign up with us at multiple websites. Meetup.com has started charging money for groups to use their services, so we may change to another site as our home base. If you follow our group through multiple sites, you'll be sure to be informed of all events and the BIG MOVE if we change.

We are also looking for alternate venues to hold our game-playing sessions, so keep an eye on this group in case of any changes. I would also appreciate any venue ideas you could share. If anyone knows how to get (FREE!?!) space at a senior center or a rec center or even a hotel meeting room, give me the info and I'll see about securing it. We need suggestions for places that can handle up to 15 people playing games from 7p-11p. Thanks!! ;)
