BeatSwap will be a daytime event showcasing both local and international Dj's. What will separate us from the rest of LA's events is that we will be setting up an outdoor area where people can bring items from home for a swap.......With the current economic situation we feel how could we go wrong with this idea.... a trade and barter system and great music that will have people smiling and dancing. Our hours will be from 6am to 6pm. People can bring items all day and everything will set out on display but swapping will only be from 12-3pm. If people want to bring items but not take any, that is fine because at the end of the day everything left over is being donated to charity. We will be working with the program One Voice. "It provides a direct avenue of community support where useful goods can be given to enrich and improve the quality of life for families struggling in poverty". This is ideal for us since each swap will have a different theme. First one is '5 items from your closet'. There is no cost to participate in the swap only for entry inside where music will be thumping out through Funkworks Function-One sound system.
