Anyway heres some facts about stuff..
The Jedi
- A noble order of protectors unified by their belief and observance of the Force, the Jedi hearken back to a more civilized, classical time in galactic history. Their order is ancient, spanning over a thousand generations. As the Galactic Republic throve and grew over the centuries, the Jedi came to serve it as guardians of peace and justice.
- Headquartered on Coruscant, the Jedi trained, studied, and planned from the impressive Jedi Temple, a towering edifice rising high above the surrounding structures on the city-planet. They are governed by a High Council of 12 Jedi -- most of them Jedi Masters -- who contemplate the very nature of the Force.
-
To become a Jedi requires the deepest commitment and most serious mind. It is not a venture to be undertaken lightly. As such, Jedi instruction is rigidly structured and codified to enforce discipline and hinder transgression. Only 20 Jedi have ever voluntarily renounced their commissions. It is with great regret that the Jedi order recognize the so-called "Lost Twenty." A Jedi who fails in his training can be a very serious threat. The dark side of the Force beckons to the impatient, and students in the past have been lured to its call with devastating consequences.
- Jedi candidates are detected, identified and taken into the order as infants. One method of detection is through blood sampling -- those with great Force potential often have high midi-chlorian counts in their bloodstream. A prospective Jedi begins training in infancy. All connection to previous family life is lost. In this early stage of training, a single master instructs groups, or clans, of Jedi hopefuls.
- As the Jedi mature, the apprentice is paired with a master to continue the next phase of the training. According to the Jedi Code, a Jedi Master may only have one Padawan at a time. Near the end of the Padawan’s training, she must undergo trials before ascending to the rank of Knight.
-
The next level of rank in the Jedi order is the Jedi Master, reserved for those who have shown exceptional devotion and skill in the Force. It is from the ranks of the Jedi Masters that the High Council is chosen, which is the main interface between the Jedi and the government of the Republic.
- The Jedi dress in simple robes and carry specialized field gear for their missions. Their signature weapon, the lightsaber, is both elegant and deadly when in the hands of a trained master.

The Dark Jedi
In the early days of the Jedi, a great schism tore the order apart. Jedi who had tapped the forbidden power of the Force’s dark side rebelled against their light-sided brothers. Originally called Fallen Jedi, these jedi broke off from the Jedi Order long ago for disagreeing for what had to be done, they did not like the waiting aproach and sought to end the suffering of people through steady action. These actions, however, lead to more and more use of the darkside untill this faction became corupt. Once this happened those that were left sought to seek vengance on the Jedi order who would no longer reconize them.
The Dark Jedi do not seek vengeance alone, they seek power and a recognition for their greatness. They wish for all the galaxy to praise them and serve them. Though they often lack the patience to cultivate their plans to fruition, those Dark Jedi who manage to, have given scares to many a Jedi task force. The determination to achieve their goals that lack of conscience in doing so, have wrought much pain and destruction all across the galaxy.

I pledge myself to the Darkness.
For I have found true life,
In the death of the light.
The Sith
An ancient order of Force-practitioners devoted to the dark side and determined to destroy the Jedi, the Sith were a menace long thought extinct. Although once a race the current incarnation of the Sith is the result of a rogue Jedi dissident from the order. Two thousand years ago, this Jedi had come to the understanding that the true power of the Force lay not through contemplation and passivity. Only by tapping its dark side could its true potential be gained. The Jedi Council at the time balked at this new direction. The Dark Jedi was outcast, but he eventually gained followers to his new order. Awakening beliefs from the dark past, the new Sith cult continued to grow. With the promise of new powers attainable by tapping into the hateful energies of the dark side, it was only a matter of time before the order self-destructed. Internecine struggle by power-hungry Sith practioners dwindled their numbers. The Sith adopted cunning, subterfuge, and stealth as the fundamental tenets of the Sith order.

Thus, the Sith quietly continued for centuries, until just a short while ago. By this time, the galaxy at large had believed the Sith to be extinct, a fabled threat from the past. A report of a Sith on Coruscant was met by the Jedi Council with hesitation and skepticism. Surely if the Sith had returned, the Jedi would have detected it, they reasoned.
The dark side, for all its power, is ultimately hard to detect when required. A shadowy master is able to keep his presence a secret, even when sharing a world with the Jedi Temple.
With the death of one Sith, holding his beliefs to the end, the Jedi Council realized that the Sith menace was true. What they hadn’t puzzled was whether this was the master, or the apprentice. Years would pass before the Sith menace arose once more, a menace that would eventually come to engulf the entire galaxy. It is a common mistake for newly fallen Jedi to assume they are Sith. The Sith are more widely known and claiming to be one can afford a great amount of protection in the vulnerable transition time while getting adjusted to the Dark Side. However, simply turning from the Light and embracing the Dark does not make a Sith. Until the fallen are directly recruited by a Sith Warrior or Master a fallen Jedi does not actually qualify as a Sith and most Sith will kill those claiming to be such.

Shadow Jedi
"There is the force."
The force can not be destroyed, or changed against its will. The energy that is the force exists in a neverending cycle. There is no death without rebirth, and there is no destruction, only change when the force wills it. Also, the force is neither light nor dark, and any aspect of the force may be used if a situation calls for action.
Some Basic Beliefs
Everything exists in natural balance.
While others wish to tip the scales of the universe to one side or the other, Shadow Jedi know that balance exists because the force wills it. All life is meant to follow this balance. Fighting against the will of the force is pointless and counterproductive.
The wise see in shades of grey.
There is no dark or light, no good or evil, black or white, the force does not judge and neither shall we. What others call black a Shadow should recognize as the darkest shade of grey; it still has light in it, even if it doesn’t seem to. By those rules, all force users are shadows, although most can’t show the maturity to recognize it. This idea encompasses the very name of the Shadow Jedi.
All emotions provide guidance.
One is not better than the other, all must be heard in order to find balance. Love and hate, fear and trust, anger and peace, all of these guide our actions, and assist in making our decisions. This is as it should be; we are not meant to be unfeeling. However, while emotions provide guidance, letting them guide us without our knowledge leaves us open to mistakes from rash decisions. Our emotions must be recognized and accepted for them to properly assist us in making decisions.
About Shadow Jedi
Shadow Jedi, unlike Light Jedi and most Dark Jedi, do not follow an ordered or set path, advocating the true path of the Force as ’a pathless’ one. A Shadow Jedi is not an all powerful being, merely one who seeks to find the balance between light and dark within themselves. Their power, while they can do both healing and harming, is not above the power of other Force users. Learning the ways of a Shadow requires as much or more dicipline than either Jedi or Sith/Dark Jedi. Many also believe in not following any type of extreme practice, whether they are of light or dark behavior, simply because some say it goes against the traditional will of the force. The path of the Shadow Jedi is complex and may take a lifetime to understand, as there are few cut and dried answers to questions that arise. This is why they rarely have an established code like the Jedi. Most questions that arise in the studies of a Shadow Jedi can not be answered with one line of a code.
Lightsaber construction
"This tool is your life"
--Obi-Wan Kenobi
Yes, the Lightsaber. This is the most important weapon or tool for the Jedi. The traditional weapon of a Jedi, these weapons are sleek, elegant, and unique to each different person, not as clumsy as a blaster. In the Rifts® megaverse, Jedi and Sith are very rare to find if any exist
* The Laser Projector: The unit which actually creates the energy for the beam. Most Jedi chose to build their own projector from scratch, but the projector from an energy weapon can be modified to work.
* The Handle: The handle of the lightsaber can say a great deal about the Jedi. First, it should be able to fit comfortably into their hand, and it must be just large enough to fit all the other pieces, but not so large that they rattle around inside. Some students go through great measures to make the vessel of their lightsabers decorative and artistic. Most lightsaber handles are made from metal or hard plastic, but many are also carved from wood, ivory, coral, or other substances to reflect the Jedi’s tastes and background.
* The Power Source: The best power source would be an infinite one, but in this world, that isn’t really possible. Most lightsabers are built with a replaceable, long-lasting power source to ensure they don’t run out during a battle and they are usually replaced regularly, just to be safe. Whatever power source is chosen, it should be reliable and, most importantly, it should not heat up. When lightsabers overheat, they tend to explode, taking their user’s arm with them.
* The Focusing Crystal: The most important piece of the weapon. The focusing crystal can be made from almost anything: precious gems, natural crystal formations, and, for the more technically or scientifically adept, self-grown crystals. It is important to know that different focusing crystals can produce different colors, which may determine good from evil. Jedi almost always have blue or green, while Sith are more likely with red. A few key points to remember are that the crystal should be pure, with no irregularities or impurities (this causes the blade to flicker in and out of focus unpredictably), it must be able to refract either energy or light (most precious gems, even pearls, natural crystals, and electronics-focusing crystals will be able to do this), it should be durable (so it won’t shatter under heavy activity or during all the jumping and falling), and it should hold some significance to the character. The crystal can be either inside or outside the handle, depending on the Jedi’s style and the gem’s durability. I cannot over-stress that this is the most important part of the lightsaber, it may even be considered the soul of a mechanical beast, so choose wisely.
