I made this because i couldn't find any dumpster diving communities on here. so join and tell all of your dumpster diving buddies as well.

I want to go over some guidelines for posting here:

Please read over these before posting anything!

1. I have tried to pin various topics on the board so that you guys don't have to start a new topic. These are the topics that will stay on the first page of posts automatically because they are common points of discussion, etc.

To see these click "view all topics". The pinned topics are the ones with, well, a blue pin icon next to them. Whenever possible please try to post within these topics.

Example: You want to promote your show. Find the pinned topic labled SHOWS/PROMOTION and post your flyer in there. it saves space

it's not crucial that you do this, so im not gonna bite your head off for it, but i'd appreciate it. It's not like someone posts a new topic several times a day, so its not that important right now. but if this group ever gets really big and we have alot of posts going on, then it will be.

also, if you have a suggestion for a pinned topic just message me and let me know. or make a topic and ask to have it pinned



2. Feel free to promote your group/website if it has to do with DIY, dumpster diving, protests etc.



3. I know there will be times when people are gonna argue with each other, all I ask is that you keep it civil and don't constantly post ignorant, mean comments on peoples topics. Just try not to be an asshole. remember that we all share a common interest and we should all try to get along with each other. If another member is pushing your buttons just let me know and i can try to deal with it i guess.


4. If you notice that you accidently posted your comment/topic 5 times, its okay! just take the time to try and delete the repeats. I try to do this on occasion but I usually get an error message, of course.

5. Pictures are always welcome, feel free to post pictures of anything diving related

6. Previously it was discussed that we should refrain from using store names in posts, I have decided that this is a good idea. Maybe I'm just being paranoid but what can it hurt if we don't use the store name? Just use a broader term instead of the actual store name, it's that simple! If a post is made using the name of a store I will remind the poster and they can fix it, and if they don't, the post will be deleted. Sorry but that's the way it's going to be from now on.
