This group is for anyone, anywhere into Punk, Hardcore, Oi!, Ska, Indie, Goth, Metal, Rockabilly and Emo and their variations.
All of these are intertwined.
Must it be said that this also means Grindcore?
You Crusties are part of us too; if you don't need soap you don't need an attitude either.
This group is for all of us ... except for those Teddy Boy bastards!!

Yes this even includes Emo and Pop-Punk.
Emo is the sissy half-brother of Punk.
Yeah he's a little wuss and it's funny to tease him but we must accept family.
Even if he's only 1/10th Punk - we should stick together.
Some of these styles are not Punk but there is a bond that all of them have in common - let's build on that.

The goal is to have the largest collection of these types in the world.
"Why" you ask?
Because "fuck you!"

Promote your scene, dont concern yourself with the sub-genre of music.
Just post in a thread labeled with your general location such as NY shows.
Search to see if your area has a thread already - if not you be the starter.
Your whole state will look up to you!
Your mom will be so proud.

ONE MORE THING: NO WHINING OR CRYING, THAT WUSSY SHIT IS FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE

This group was founded by Tony SQNS of the band Status Quo No Show.
He also started www.NYPunkScene.com
There are so many different subgenres and no unity, but he saw a common thread.
There’s no censorship here (from Tony) but spam, (pathetic) adds and unrelated posts don’t belong.
The most valuable opinion is the most unpopular one.
Tony lost all his posting privileges in Summer 05, after people complained about his political incorrectness on another board.
Though this group was the largest of it’s kind and is designed from tolerance – he could not even post on it.
MySpace would not respond to his repeated appeals to have his posting privileges restored.
So two years later; he’s finally turned over control to fellow NY Punk; Woody Allen (not the actual film maker).
This could be the greatest Punk board on MySpace – it’s Tony’s hope that it becomes so.
Invite people to this group - there’s strength in numbers.
Tony also hopes that one day fake tolerance which is prevalent today - is replaced by true tolerance.
