Visit the Philippines is a group made to unite those interested in the promotion of Philippine tourism, visiting the Philippines in the future, have visited this 7,107-island wonder, or are just curious about this nation. "Tourism Volunteer 12" (V-12) is a program of the Philippine Department of Tourism which aims to mobilize the estimated 7.38 Million Overseas Filipinos worldwide as "Tourism Volunteers".

The Philippine Department of Tourism's promotional budget of US$660,000 is less than one-tenth the budgets of our Southeast Asian competitors like Thailand (US$45 Million), Hong Kong (US$66 Million) and Singapore (US$70 Million). We may not have our competitors' budgets, but we surely have 7.38 Million Overseas Filipinos worldwide who can bring in the tourists.

Tourism Volunteer 12 aims to appeal to the sense of nationhood of the 7.38 Million Overseas Filipinos who are well-placed in major travel markets worldwide. Their presence in these strategic countries gives the Overseas Filipinos the unique advantage of influencing a greater number of tourists in their areas to visit the Philippines.
