The Rules:

1. Do not make Short End Productions write more rules!
2. All shorts must have "In associations with the Short Ends Project" in the credits.
3. Do not commit yourself to a specific job if you have any doubts that you will not be available or able to be # Work together as best as you can with others to get the short complete. In the real world of a production, there will be times were you will not get along with another person. Just, remember that all of you are there to make the best short film possible. Once the production is complete, you won't have to work with them again.
4. We, Short End Productions, are not responsible at all if the cast or crew of a Short End Production do anything illegal or anything that would endanger yourself or others.
5. All Shorts will have a writer, director, assistant director, director of photography and a line producer. At least four people must fill these 5 roles.
6. Shorts must be completed and turned in by the deadline. We, Short End Productions, have no rule in place if a deadline is missed, because, we know that we are working with professionals and won't have this problem, if so, please refer to Rule Number 1!
7. We are all adults so please be responsible.
8. If the Director chooses to enter a short into a contest/competition and it wins a cash prize, we ask that the Director take a 1/3 of the cash prize and split the remaining 2/3's with the cast and crew equally. This is just a request.
9. Hone your skills and have fun, damn-it!!!

Rules subject to change without notice.

Amendement for Summer Festival 07 (the current round)

A) Crew can not act in their own project.

B) One project per actor. Period. If you talk on a project you can only be in that project.

C) Crew can only work on one project.

D) Missing deadlines and not responding to emails and /or phone calls are grounds for dismissal of your project.

With only 6 projects this round adhering to these rules will be beneficial to everyone. If these rules become an issue bring it up to the Steering Committee so that we can help you work it out. That is what we are here for. No one is alone in making their project. SEP is a group of filmmakers here to help other filmmakers make the best films possible. Also, these amendments will change per round depending on the number of projects.
