Rockin' out with support from its four new spokespeople, MAC VIVA GLAM VI Lipstick and Lipglass! As always, every cent of VIVA GLAM VI goes to the MAC AIDS Fund to support people living with HIV/AIDS.
In 1994, MAC introduced VIVA GLAM, an outspoken deep red that was universal in its appeal and its glamour. In 1997, a second lipstick was created, VIVA GLAM II, a lightly pinked mauve. VIVA GLAM III, a foxy brown plum lipstick was launched in 2000. VIVA GLAM IV, a heartfelt rose charged with gold, was introduced in March 2002. In March 2004, VIVA GLAM V was launched in both a Lipstick and Lipglass - to a tremendous response around the world which has continued to this day, thanks to the dynamic efforts and dedication of all the VIVA GLAM V spokespeople. In September 2006, VIVA GLAM VI Lipstick makes its debut, a warm terracotta-plum with pearl finish. This is coordinated with VIVA GLAM VI Lipglass, a subtle terracotta-peach with pearl to be worn over its namesake lipstick. An iconic legend of the downtown New York City music scene, Debbie Harry, and her highly influential band, Blondie, put New Wave Punk on the map. Inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame in 2006, the cultural impact of Harry and her band is staggering, from their sound, to their clothes and attitude. Blondie's hits include Rapture, Heart of Glass, and Call Me. She is also a talented actress, starring in such films as Videodrome and John Water's Hairspray. One of the first celebrities to align herself with the fight against HIV/AIDS, Harry's commitment remains unwavering, aligning herself with such causes as Amfar, and most recently VIVA GLAM on behalf of the MAC AIDS Fund.
Dita Von Teese
A fashion darling and innovator, Dita Von Teese, the International Queen of Burlesque, has secured her place in the global spotlight with her elegance, style and wit. She has been listed on prestigious best-dressed lists, and is a muse of haute couturiers. A trained ballerina, Dita's artful and provocative performances bring pin-up imagery to life and make the erotic fabulous. In 2005, she married alt-rocker/performance artist, Marilyn Manson. Her book, Burlesque, The Art of the Teese/Fetish and The Art of The Teese was published in 2006 (Regan Books/Harper Collins).
