**What is “Velocity”?**
Velocity is a community of young adults who share their lives together and get hang out often to talk about getting the most out of life and trying to live out what Jesus taught.

**So are you religious or something?**
No. Most of us are followers of Jesus and his teachings, but we aren’t very religious. Believe it or not, Jesus himself was perhaps the most irreligious person ever to walk the earth. (In fact, if he were to return today, most “Christians” are so caught up with being superior and judgmental that they’d probably be the ones trying to kill him!)

**What does Velocity do?**
Encourage each other, build strong and meaningful relationships, talk about Jesus and his teachings and what they mean for us today, try to change the world for the good.

**What doesn't Velocity do?**
> Speak judgmentally / offensively
> Try to get people “saved” (that’s Jesus’ territory, our job is just to live what he taught us.)

**Why “Velocity”?**
The name “Velocity” speaks to the speed of life during this age, as well as the power of clear and focused direction. People in the Velocity community are of the age at which most people choose to live out their dreams or give up on them. It’s the age in life during which most people make major decisions that affect their whole lives. It is our first and foremost goal to help young people to find who they are and what their life is all about--- and then to encourage them to live out those dreams, no matter how bold or impossible or frickin' crazy they seem.
