JAHMBI - Rich Lindamood(vocals); Aaron Lippold (guitar/vocals);Joe Garcia (guitar/vocals); Aaron Rizo (bass); Adam Gomez (drums) It began six years ago when Aaron Lippold informed Aaron Rizo that his services as a bass player would be used for Jahmbi. It wasn’t so much a question as to whether Rizo would like to join the band, but more of a comment that he was now a member of Jahmbi. Practicing in what is arguably Southern California’s hottest, sweatiest garage, the two musicians teamed with drummer Adam Gomez to form the core of the group. And what a puzzle it is! JAHMBI has reached into their souls to create an original style of some of the hardest, dirtiest, jazziest rock you’ve ever heard. With influences ranging from Bon Jovi to Faith No More; Louie Armstrong to Mr.Bungle; and Robert Plant to System of a Down, this band has put out the type of music that has their audience moshing in the pit one moment, swing-dancing the next, and then right back to moshing. For over five years Jahmbi has been a fixture on the local scene gaining a loyal fan base that appreciates the highly energetic show the band consistently presents. With a mixture of rage and levity, this band takes their audience on a roller-coaster ride of emotion as they have been known to introduce circus music in the middle of the set to break up some of the anger. “I want to see people laughing,” Aaron L. says. “I like seeing them mosh, people getting angry. I want to see some guy dry-heaving in the back.” Jahmbi’s diverse style hasn’t been lost on others as they’ve had opportunities to play with various national acts such as: “Murderdolls,” “Watch Them Die,” “My Ruin,” “HED PE,” and “Coolio,” to name a few. With their reputation as a rockin’, slammin’ band growing, each member throws himself into giving each crowd the best show possible. “Playing live,” Aaron R. says, “is what we do best, which is to entertain and scare people.” What makes Jahmbi a difficult puzzle to solve is the fact that this band is ever evolving in a style that is distinctly theirs. Those who solve it, see it change before their very eyes and are sent on another journey of exploration as the band laughs and stays just one step ahead of the game. With high ambitions and even higher expectations, Jahmbi is poised to entertain and scare many people for many years to come.
