Post your poetry, read their poetry, entertain your mind. Post your pages where you have poetry or just single poems. Be heard, be understood? I'm sure someone can relate.

You can check my poetry out in my Myspace blog or on either of these sites:

deviantART: http://bennuendo.deviantart.com

deviantART is like a Myspace for artists where you can post all your poetry, drawings, paintings, photography and so on.

Urbis: http://urbis.com/Bendo13

Urbis is an online writing community where you can have your work reviewed and review others' writing.

"Painting is poetry which is seen and not heard, and poetry is a painting which is heard but not seen." -Leonardo da Vinci

"Poetry is nearer to vital truth than history." -Plato

"The distinction between historian and poet is not in the one writing prose and the other verse... the one describes the thing that has been, and the other a kind of thing that might be. Hence poetry is something more philosophic and of graver import than history, since its statements are of the nature rather of universals, whereas those of history are singulars." -Aristotle

"[P]oets are masters of us ordinary men, in knowledge of the mind, because they drink at streams which we have not yet made accessible to science." -Sigmund Freud

"A poet is an unhappy being whose heart is torn by secret sufferings, but whose lips are so strangely formed that when the sighs and the cries escape them, they sound like beautiful music... and then people crowd about the poet and say to him: "Sing for us soon again;" that is as much as to say, "May new sufferings torment your soul."" -Soren Kierkegaard

WATCH OUT for frauds like poetry.com or publishtoday.com (they're the same company) that try to get your money through false hopes of your work being published. Your poetry will not end up in those books unless you buy a book. The awards and award ceremonies you may get invited to are paid for by you, straight out of your pocket. (Yes, you will have to PAY for your award)
