SA Presidents Ambassadors,

This Group was created for all of the PAs. I feel that another way to communicate other that e-mail is a good thing. I will be posting all the information that I send you in e-mails on this group as well, that way incase you delete an e-mail, and need to know the details again this will be another option. Please feel free to ask questions, request information, etc. However, DO NOT! Tell me you are unable to make a certian date on this group... I need an e-mail for that or for you to tell me in person, if you do will ignore you statment (sorry). Also do not say anything on this group that you do not wish the other PAs to know of as well. And last, but not least do not post anything negative about any SA people on this sight, or you will be deleted. Thanks to all of you for all your hard work, and dedication to this program.

HAVE A GREAT DAY GUYS! KEEP UP ALL THE GOOD WORK!

ANTHONY of Padua

Also known as
Evangelical Doctor
Memorial
13 June
Profile
Anthony's wealthy family wanted him to be a great nobleman, but for the sake of Christ he became a poor Franciscan. Priest.

When the remains of Saint Berard and his companions, the first Franciscan martyrs, were brought to be buried in his church, Anthony was moved to leave his order, enter the Friars Minor, and go to Morocco to evangelize. Shipwrecked at Sicily, he joined some other brothers who were going to Portiuncula. Lived in a cave at San Paolo leaving only to attend Mass and sweep the nearby monastery. One day when a scheduled speaker failed to appear, the brothers pressed him into speaking. He impressed them so that he was thereafter constantly travelling, evangelizing, preaching, and teaching theology through Italy and France.

A gifted speaker, he attracted crowds everywhere he went, speaking in multiple tongues; legend says that even the fish loved to listen. Wonder worker. One of the most beloved of saints, his images and statues are found everywhere. Proclaimed a Doctor of the Church on 16 January 1946.

Devotion to Saint Anthony of Padua

O Holy Saint Anthony, gentle Saint, your love for God and charity for his creatures made you worthy, when on earth, to possess wondrous gifts. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I ask of you to intercede for me and obtain my special requests.

[Mention your special intention.]

O gentle and loving Saint, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, offer my petition to the Lord and Savior. He chose you to be his powerful intercessor. May He now hear your prayer on my behalf and grant me the grace to lead a good and faithful life. Amen.

Saint Anthony of Padua,
Pray for us. Amen.
