Christian Goths. Is that an oxymoron? Many people see it as just that. But look a little deeper -- or just use common sense -- and you'll see that it's not impossible to be both. Goth is not a religion. It's not a cult. It's a lifestyle. Nothing in the term 'gothic' contradicts Christianity. But still, many Christian goths are looked down upon by fellow believers just because of the way they dress or act. Not only that, but sometimes they are looked down upon by other goths just for being Christians. The latter form of ignorance is just as faulty and unreasonable as the former.
This group is for Christian Goths, whether you have been personally victimized because of your lifestyle/religion or not. This group is a place where we can share our stories, find support, and meet fellow Christians who live similar lifestyles. This group is also for Christians who want to learn more about the gothic subculture. For those of you that fit that description, keep in mind that this group is to help you learn. It is not a place for you to condemn. We would be, however, happy to help you understand (happy goths?! Oh no!), and I'm sure we could all learn from each other.
