Hard Soul was founded by Trevor Randall – part of the driving force behind one of the most successful indie labels of the 90s. Randall was executive vice-president of the great Acid Jazz Records in London -- the label that signed Jamiroquai , The Brand New Heavies, and Mother Earth - among others. He also co-founded the legendary Blue Note club in Hoxton, which established renowned residencies for DJs Goldie , LTJ Bukem , Talvin Singh and Ninja Tunes . During Randall's time, "Acid Jazz" became a genre, a sound, and a brand, and the Blue Note was widely hailed as the hippest club in Europe . Now he's at it again….This time in LA….
