Plus 44 is a new electronic 80's rock pop band consisting of Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker of Blink-182, Shane Gallagher of The Nervous Return and Graig Fairbaugh of The Mercy Killers.

The group got it's name from the international dialing code to the UK, because it is where Mark and Travis first discussed doing the project.

"If Blink was the daytime, Plus 44 is the nighttime. It's such a departure from Blink, but it's amazing. I play all the drums, but they're electronic drums, plus I play piano and keyboard on it. And I've been making beats for it. ... I am just going to keep working on stuff. Everything's A-plus."

ABOUT PLUS 44: Plus-44, another project with Blink bassist Mark Hoppus. "It's a departure," says Barker. "It sounds like Berlin -- I love that [Eighties Los Angeles New Wave] era of music, like Missing Persons. Everything's really played on drums, but it's electronic." The group hopes to release and album next summer

the united kindom was the place mark and travis talked of the idea.

On December 13 of last year, the day the first Angels and Airwaves material was released and DeLonge's birthday, a band called "+44," consisting of Hoppus and Barker, released their first song, "No It Isn't" on their web site.

The song included the lyrics, "Please understand, this isn't just goodbye, this is I can't stand you," which many Blink fans interpreted as being about DeLonge.

DeLonge isn't so sure.

"I dont know their intentions. They're probably hurt by the whole thing. It was probably tough on them like it was myself. I havent talked to them in over a year so I dont know where they're coming from and I dont know what they mean. They have their own choices of how they want to present their music and how they want to debut their band so I can't look into why they do what they do."
