This group is about learning, understanding, and socializing as a community. We are a diverse group of individuals with different beliefs, but we do have one thing in common. We feel strongly and passionately about ourselves. It is time we tell the world who we are, and who we aren't. Let them know that we will -never- change who we are, just because we're different than normal society. We will always be proud.

This place caters to all sorts of spiritual beings: Therian, Werewolf and lycan, vampire, and other-kin.

Now for some definitions:

Werewolves and Lycanthropes: those who seemed to change spiritually due to certain events over an extended length of time. They also have an animal spirit within them, however they feel like they don't belong in normal society. This place is here to offer guidance to those and teach them to embrace who they are inside. In this group we still call these individuals therians . . . the term "lycan" and "lycanthrope" do -NOT- apply to those individuals. Those terms were invented through fiction and they typically signify those type of creatures often portrayed in movies as vicious mindless killing things, which we are -not-.

Therians: All their life these individuals knew they were different than others, because of certain behaviors and mannerisms. They feel they are an animal, inside, and always have been.

Otherkin: Much like therians, but instead of animals they are creatures of mythology, that is beings such as dragons, unicorns, griphons, etc.

Vampires: For the moment, I am allowing these types of individuals into the group on a case by case basis, until I learn more about their general beliefs.

Group Policies

July 18th, 2007 UPDATE

Thanks to the parents of myspace, we now have an age restriction for this group. I've gotten one too many messages from concerned parents claiming that this group is "influencing" their children. This does not affect any -current- members as of today, but any further applicants from this point will be automatically DENIED. I won't be stating the age restriction here, because i'm well aware of the many who lie. I will be able to figure out what age level one is, don't test me.

Also, if you're submitting a request for the group and i'm unable to send you the application because of not being on your friends list . . . these also will be automatically DENIED.

1. I expect -all- members of this group to have a strong sense of open-mindedness, compassion, and tolerance. I want no arguments over who is what and what views they follow. However, be prepared to be frowned upon if claiming physical changes.

2. To those seeking membership: Upon receiving a join request I will send you a small questionnaire regarding your spirituality. They are reasonable questions, and easy to answer if you're a serious spiritual being. I do understand that some of you aren't open about who and what you are inside. However, I do expect convincing reasons of your interest and passion for your personal spirituality.

3. I WILL NOT TOLERATE PRETENDERS, IF I READ YOUR PROFILE AND SEE NOTHING REGARDING A BALANCE BETWEEN YOUR SPIRITIAL SIDE AND HUMAN SIDE, YOU WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. NO EXCEPTIONS!

4. I don't know what groups the members of this group belong to . . . nor do I care. However, if I hear of any word of any of the current members participating in groups that I feel go against the purpose of this one, then I'm going to be mighty upset.

A reason why? Because it appears there are groups of people calling themselves "werewolves" and declaring war on vampires and other beings. These are the type of people who give creatures like us a bad reputation, and I won't allow it to migrate into this group. Right now, If you have an issue with vampires for whatever reason, it would be in your best interest to leave this group -now- because we already have some vampires as our members, and just as you are welcome here, so are they.


5. If you have an issue with humans, fine, I can understand that, but if you openly declare war on them, or claim or want to attack or kill humans for whatever reasons, or some nonsense shit like that--You better take a look in the mirror, buddy, before you do anything foolish. Though we don't now . . . in the future we may have some human members who wish to understand us better, so I won't have any toleration for such violent thoughts against them.

However, I'm not totally without heart on this issue . . . I do understand that some of you feel the "urge" to hunt, and you might feel that humans are your closest prey. If you feel you have these urges I suggest you seek advice from any of the members here who would be willing to help, it would be for your best interests to hear what they have to say.

6. Also, if you're to remain a part in this group, I expect you to be at least mildly active. I prefer a group to be based on quality over quantity, so I don't want this group to be about a bunch of no-show lurkers who think they feel "special" because they are part of this group. This group is -not- about popularity, it is about connecting and learning -together- as a community.

I repeat . . . we are compassionate and tolerant individuals, I will -not- allow what would be considered unacceptable behavior within this group. I request that all members follow these guidelines and policies, it is for the betterment of the group.

If a majority of the group disagrees with any of these policies, then I will--by all means--remove them, but for now, they will remain.

I'll also remind all group members of the specific forum in which one can post your comments/complaints/etc. If you don't wish to post there, you can confront me with your issue in private, whatever you prefer.


[SPECIAL NOTE FOR PHYSICAL SHIFTERS]

I understand that some of those believing they can physically shift may strongly be in tune with their therianthropy in a spiritual sense. Based on the questions I ask and your answers to them will you be admitted.

However, upon joining; I request that you don't claim so on the boards with basically "I have physically changed, it felt good! I did this, this, and this! What about you?" If you claim this without offering visible and convincing proof, you will be -banned- without hesitation.
