Abigail Williams is a metal band hailing from Phoenix, Arizona. AW broke into the scene in summer of 2005 playing a sort of melodic death metal with keyboards but it wasn't until fall of 2006 when the band refined its sound, losing orginal singer while original guitar player Ken Sorceron moving to vocals opting for a more aggressive approach, with the track "Watchtower" shaping the sound of the band into what kerrang has called "The bloody birth of 'Black Metalcore'" (though the band will not agree with the label).




In fall 2006 the band completed its first UK tour with bands Suicide Silence and BMTH but had to leave the tour after only 3 and a half weeks due to injury of drummer Zach gibson.

Abigail Williams has gone through many lineup changes in their short career, including members of melodic death metal bands Vehemence and The Black Dahlia Murder and is currently getting ready for an early 2007 North American tour with swedish black metallers Dark Funeral and norwegian viking metallers Enslaved while at the same time working on their second candlelight records release which will be a full length.
